3 top scottish make up artists



my first choice was Lynn Mckenzie she is a freelance make up artist who has featured in top bridal magazines over the world, She  trained at Elaine Myers-Jones award winning School of Make-Up and gained her diploma in Fashion & Editorial Make Up and Fashion Hairstyling. Following this she had set up her own business based in Central Scotland but she still travels all over to work on photoshoots, and to cater for wedding parties and individuals.





I also chose diana mackenzie who is a make up artist based in argyle, shes a freelance make up artist that offers all sorts of make up looks. Daina studied at the Academy of Make up and as part of the Academy´s Pro Team she uses her skills in hair and make up at events such as fashion shows, photo shoots, charity shows and make up promotion.
Wedding makeup in Scotland bu Karen Bowenmy last choice was karen bowen who is a freelance make up artstist with over 25 years experience.

karen has worked in fashion, editorial,and commercial industries. She mostly works in television and bridal makeup, Karen Bowen is one of the makeup industry's premier professionals.  Having worked in London, Paris and throughout Scotland she has worked on many faces from fashion models to celebrities and individuals such as bridal parties.
She also teaches students fashion and photographic makeup,  Her work has appeared in many editorials such as Hair and Beauty, Essentials,  Karen has designed makeup for L'Oreal and Wella for hair shows and seminars, karen has loads of experience through out every aspect of make up, and her work is amazing!




if i could ask a make up artist five questions they would be:
  •  how hard is it to break into the make up industry 
  • whats there most memorable piece if work they have done
  • who inspired them to be a make up artist
  • what was it like the first time they worked on a shoot
  • what advise would they give an expiring make up artist
